Privacy Policy

Last Updated April 17, 2026

1. Overview

RestoreAdvisor LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates restoreadvisor.com, a content and lead generation platform that helps U.S. homeowners find qualified contractors for home restoration, remediation, and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, how we use and share it, your rights and choices, and how to contact us. Please read it carefully. By using RestoreAdvisor, you agree to the practices described here.

We are a lead generation platform. If you submit a request for a contractor quote, your contact information will be shared with one or more licensed restoration service providers in your area. This is a core part of how RestoreAdvisor works, and we describe it fully in the Lead generation section below.

2. Information we collect

2a. Information you provide directly

When you fill out a contact or quote-request form on RestoreAdvisor, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Home address or ZIP code
  • Details about the damage or problem you are experiencing
  • Any other information you voluntarily include in a message or form field

2b. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system and device type (desktop, tablet, or mobile)
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and referring URL
  • Search terms used to find our site

This data is collected via cookies, web beacons, and third-party analytics tools including Google Analytics. See Section 7 (Cookies and Tracking) for details and opt-out options.

2c. Information from third parties

We may receive additional information about you from third-party data partners, advertising networks, or analytics providers in order to better understand our audience and improve our content and lead matching.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To connect you with contractors. When you submit a quote request, we use your contact details and project description to match you with relevant local restoration professionals.
  • To operate and improve the site. We analyze traffic patterns, popular content, and user behavior to improve the accuracy and usefulness of our information.
  • To communicate with you. We may send transactional emails or text messages related to your quote request. If you opt in, we may send updates, tips, or other relevant communications.
  • To personalize your experience. We may use your data to tailor the content and contractor matches shown to you.
  • To comply with legal obligations. We retain and disclose data as required by applicable law.
  • To detect and prevent fraud. We use technical signals and behavioral data to protect the integrity of our platform and the contractors who rely on it.
  • For internal analytics and research. We use aggregated, de-identified data to understand industry trends and improve our services.

4. Legal bases for processing

We collect and process personal information only where we have a legal basis to do so. Those bases include:

  • Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Performance of a contract, such as processing your quote request.
  • Our legitimate interests, including operating and improving our platform, keeping it secure, and connecting homeowners with contractors.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation, such as a court order, subpoena, or applicable law.

5. Lead generation service

RestoreAdvisor is a lead generation platform. A central part of our service is connecting homeowners who need restoration work with contractors who can provide it.

When you submit a request for a quote or ask to be contacted by a contractor:

  • Your information is transmitted to one or more contractors who serve your area and specialize in the type of work you described.
  • By submitting a form, you expressly consent to being contacted by those contractors by phone, email, and/or text message, including by automated telephone dialing systems or pre-recorded messages, regarding home restoration services. This consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
  • The contractors you are connected with operate independently. Once your information is shared with them, their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours.
  • RestoreAdvisor LLC may receive compensation from contractors who receive your lead. This compensation may influence which contractors are presented to you.
  • We do not guarantee that any contractor will contact you or that the services they offer will meet your needs.

You are never required to submit a contact form to use RestoreAdvisor. All informational content on the site is freely available without submitting any personal information.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share your information in the following circumstances:

With restoration contractors (when you request a quote)

This is the primary disclosure. When you submit a quote request, your name, contact information, ZIP code, and project description are shared with one or more licensed restoration contractors in your area. By submitting a request, you consent to this disclosure.

With service providers

We share data with vendors who help us operate the site, including web hosting providers, analytics platforms, email and SMS delivery services, payment processors, and lead routing technology providers. These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

For legal reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RestoreAdvisor, our users, or others.

In a business transfer

If RestoreAdvisor is acquired, merged, or sells its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via a notice on this page.
